Chris Caswell

Chris is an actor who believes that sharing (especially performing and watching) stories is one of the most profound ways to understand what it means to be human. She started writing and devising new theatrical work at first to be part of the solution to the systemic sexism she experienced in theater. Along the way, she fell in love with the craft of playmaking and is passionate about sharing it. Chris has a B.A. in theatre and fine art from Fordham University at Lincoln Center. She acted in theater, film and television in NYC for years, but was truly invigorated by the innovative and sublime work she saw while touring original plays on the Canadian Fringe Festival circuit. Chris moved to Burlington in 2006 intending to tour from her new hometown, but finds herself consistently challenged and fulfilled artistically by this lush community of playmakers and theater enthusiasts.
